Rules

  • No god modding, aka do not force words or actions that my character would not do normally. Small assumptions can be made for QoL and ease of writing replies, but if you're not sure if my character would do something, don't be afraid to ask. Communication is key.

  • I am an older roleplayer, and have been doing so for nearly 20 years. That being said, due to the game and Xavier's story: This blog is 18+. Baldur's Gate 3 is not a kid-friendly game, and I will not shy away from some of its topics, which can include mental illness, trauma, death, torture, grief, etc, as well as the aftermath of these topics.

  • I will tag what triggers I am able to remember, but I unfortunately do not know, nor remember, all of them. You can always remind me, or look out for #notforyou; This will be my main tag for trigger warnings, in the event I feel something crosses that line, or I think there is one but cannot name it.

  • I use icons and light formatting in my posts. You are not required to do this, nor will you ever be required. All I ask is for basic grammar, and as few typos as possible; While I understand that everyone is at different levels of writing, I can't reply to you if I can't process what I'm reading.

  • My Tav is multiship unless otherwise stated, which each relationship existing in its own timeline and universe. However, I would much rather for there to be chemistry before we start shipping our characters together. Not even his romance paths are an exception for this; If there is no chemistry, before or after, it simply will not happen.

  • On a related note: Xavier's romance and rival paths are not locked into place; Do not feel like your character has to react to mine in a certain way. This will mostly be his general temperament towards that character, unless we plot otherwise.

  • This blog shares some canon from spellwound and xfindingtrouble.

Verses

Verse One: Played by the Books [Tav verse]

This is Xavier's main verse and current run, and follows his currently ongoing playthrough; Kidnapped by wayward mindflayers, thrust into the lands of Faerun, and no longer the human he was before, all he really can do is keep going. Hope that everything turns out well, and he can go home.
Xavier has been doing his best since he started his journey, trying to minimize as much death as possible. To date, he and his party had managed to save Halsin, stopping the druids from performing the rite, as well as clearing out the goblin camp and granting the refugees the safety to properly leave. Once Halsin was certain the grove would be fine, he joined the group as they set out.
As they have traveled through the Underdark, and despite a close call with a Spectator and the drow it had imprisoned, Xavier was able to successfully trick True Soul Nere and end his life. The first Xavier had taken by his own hand. But in the process, the Ironhand gnomes were rescued, and the myconids were given hope and new life.
Current: The party is traveling through the Underdark, their end goal still being Moonrise Towers. With True Soul Nere's death, the way is now believed to besecured.

Verse Two: Take Two. From the Top. [Companion verse]

He completed his first run, but Xavier isn't done; He was sent back to the beginning. Unfortunately, things no longer seem to be going as planned. Starting with no familiar faces to be found, and the grove with a fate he was not involved in.
This takes place after Xavier completes the story as a Tav, in which he becomes a companion that can be recruited after completing the goblin camp; He would be found in whatever is left of the grove/refugee camp, and can be recruited fairly easily by Good and Neutral aligned Tavs. If not within the adventuring party itself, he would be able to be found in the camp at night, acting as an informant and sharing hints and clues for certain quests.
